So, I may have already made a return trip to Pizza Farm. I actually already had plans to go this past Tuesday, before I made my first trip a few weeks ago. After I’d been once, I was so, so excited to return again with another group of friends. Somehow, amazingly considering yesterday’s temperature exceeding “feels like” 100, the weather Tuesday night was perfect again. We got there a little past 5pm this time, so our wait for pizza was a mere 50 minutes instead of the almost 90 minutes it was last time. And some of our friends were good enough to bring pies from the Stockholm Pie Company to share – massive bricks of pie pieces.
I really enjoy having the opportunity to just play with my camera, to take snapshots without purpose or goals. This was a good reminder that I need to do this more often, for my own enjoyment and because I know it will improve my photography for clients. It also gives me a chance to fiddle around with some different processing just for fun. The faux-filmy look has been pretty popular with photographers recently. The last pizza farm entry, I used Photoshop to process. These are done with the VSCO Lightroom presets. What do you think?

You know what would make a fantastic lifestyle family session? A trip to the pizza farm! Pack up the family and a big blanket and road trip down there. I’ll photograph a lovely evening on the farm, sharing food, looking at animals, having cuddles, etc. It would make a great book!
Up next: lots of brother sessions!
