It’s been awhile! I was gone for a bit and the catching up has been a bit of a whirlwind (the unintentional pool in my basement hasn’t helped much, either). We’re into the back-to-school-almost-fall-get-those-holiday-photos-done crunch!

I was a little worried the morning of this session when the shiny little thermometer on my computer said 55. A bit brisk for the water shots that mom wanted. Luckily, it warmed up quite nicely and the water was even warmer. Good thing because there’s massive cuteness ahead. :)

.K: Really awesome

LK: These are even better than "back of dome!" They made me laugh out loud - extra cute!!

Betsy: I love these, Mandy!! Especially the little baby butt ones. What a cute little guy!

Jen is a photographer friend of mine who recently gave birth to this darling little boy. She brought him and her mini-assistant Princess Deliah over yesterday so that we could both get some shots of him and I could benefit from her professional Mommy experience. It was so much fun and definitely easier with a baby handler – you may see her at my future newborn sessions!

Rachel: Oh my good heavens. The lips picture KILLS me! These are gorgeous. Way to rock the baby!

Kathryn Pierce: These are all just gorgeous. I love the closeups, but the last one is just priceless.

In my head, I have grand plans to blog more often and about more than just recent sessions. In reality…that’s hard! But I’m workin’ on it.

So many of my recent sessions have been maternity sessions. Not only is it fun when women or couples want to photograph this stage in their lives, but it means lots of babies in the spring! I am doubly excited for that.

A couple from a recent (but not today’s) session…

And a link I stumbled across (looking for what, I do not know so no getting ideas, friendsies) recently: Top 100 Blogs for Expecting Mothers. But read those later because it’s sunny and almost niceish outside!

.K: Aw, baby bumps are CUUUUUTE!

If this little guy doesn’t make you smile, then something is wrong with you. ;) I think I probably smiled at him on my monitor the whole time I was editing these. He’d just woken up from his nap when we got there but perked up in no time and was just a smiley little cutie after that.

There was one quick session of tears (standing up is hard work) but Dad was right there to make it better.

Cute even when he’s crying. Thanks to Quinn’s parents for letting me shoot their little one!

Matt O'Harver: What an amazing set, and I love the processing done to these. This has to be that amazing 85 lens. Great work you are putting out these days. You rock!

Ben Dodds: Love, Love, Love the feet on the couch!!! Awesome shot!!! I'm really glad that you're posting your stuff....AWESOME work!!

Jacko: Wow he's a little charmer for sure. What a great set of shots. I love the tone and color of the series.

Baby K was nothing but giggles and smiles all day.
