A Mother’s Love
March 5, 2010

I meant to knit during the Olympic Opening Ceremonies but I edited beebees instead. :)

LK: Wow! What else can I say? Each one brings a new "Awwwwwwww!"
stalker: they're all adorable. i like the poses/props in 2 and 5 the best.
Amy: knit me an amniotic sack please?! Love them though, you are super duper talented lady. They make my ovaries pop a little though.
Rachel Clare: These are so gorgeous. Makes me want another one, and mine is only 3-months old!!
Ready for another cutie?

The newborns in all of these posts are less than two weeks old, the ideal time to for them to be photographed. Don’t wait until your little one is born to set up a newborn session; call ahead and we’ll get you a tentative date on the schedule around your due date and be flexible from there.
stalker: do you drug these kids to get them to sit so still? and i like the little cute puckered lips this babeh has.
mk: Yes, with animal tranquilizers. But we don't talk about that.
tara k: breathtaking, my friend. you amaze me!
mk: My mom isn't sure it's okay to joke about animal tranquilizers. So, just for the record, that was a joke! The babies are 100% safe at all times and just sleepy. That's why it's good to set up a session within the first two weeks, when they're sleepier and curlier.
Katie Williams: gorgeous - love the tree stump one!!
Mary: I want to kiss that little one:) so cute, I have never seen a baby sleep in a log but now I wonder why.....Adorable!
Amy: The tree stump and use of grass gives me hope that you are getting closer to using cabbage leaves.
sarah: truly truly loving these. lol @ animal tranquilizers! gorgeous shots.
Sweet dreams. :)

This session was actually a gift from Gage’s Aunt who contacted me a few months ago to ask if she could buy a gift certificate for her sister. What an awesome gift! (Okay, I may be a bit biased, but still.) Here they are together.

Gage was a sleepy little guy, already sleeping when I got to the session and stayed that way for most of it. That makes my job easy!

Now then, I love all these newborns I’ve been doing lately but it’s time for someone to have a girl, okay? :)
Jeannette: These are amazing!
Jennifer Chaney: ohhhh girl, your newborns are really lovely! The close up is just perfect!
Maria Hays: Look at those perfect little lips! Beautiful.
LK: Isn't he squishable!

This little fella was way too intrigued by our session and life in general to want to sleep much while I was there. I got to see lots of his open blue eyes.

I got to see lots of these, too, but he did a pretty good job of fighting off a sound sleep. (Doesn’t this photo just make you want to yawn, too?)
But for the few minutes he did fall asleep, I was ready. :)

Newborn sessions are fun regardless of what they’re doing because they’re just also so CUTE (okay, dirty diapers notsomuch but the rest)!

Kellie: HOLY cuteness!
Scott Bolster: Beautiful!
tara k: mandy, he is absolutely scrumptious! especially adore the yawn and sweet lips close-up. wonderful shots!
Kathi C: Beautiful little babe! Love all the moments you've captured and I'm a sucker for super close-ups --- YUM!
Shuva Rahim: Beautiful macro-ness on these shots!
Ava Hill Photography: These are so precious!
Jacko: Great pic of you and the baby. I hope you realize he was trying to milk your nose (Seriously). My son Samuel was a big nose sucker if you didn't watch it.
Rachel Clare: Oh heavens. That 2nd image is unreal. How beautiful is this child?!
