About me…
On most photographer’s ‘about me’ pages, you’ll find a story about how they first picked up a camera at age 5 and haven’t put it down since. That’s not me. I just started using a camera regularly a few years ago and I have to admit, my love for photography has been peppered with a few periods of hate. But that’s what passion is about, right?
I do love photography, though. I love how it allows us to capture a moment that will never happen again - one that we may not have even seen otherwise. A look, a feeling, a scene, a decisive moment. Photographs that tell a story, little glimpses of soul here and there. Sometimes it’s hard to think about all of those things that I’m not capturing. But I’d like to use this blog to share what I am lucky enough to capture and allow others to share those moments with me.
I’m currently living in East St. Paul where I fill the times when I’m not taking photos working as a technical writer and designer. I like wearing flip-flops, sleeping with the windows open and the sound of the nearby train passing at night. I also have too many cats; would you like one?
About the sessions…
If you’d like to discuss photographing your child, family, event or other opportunity, please drop me a line! I normally shoot on-location which means at your house or favorite park. This allows everyone to feel relaxed and comfortable and gives us a chance to play! Newborn and maternity shoots can be done in my studio in St. Paul. Sessions book out several weeks so it’s a good idea to sign up early. Newborn shoots are best done within two weeks of birth. Of course, those can be hard to schedule ahead of time but if you’re expecting and know you’d like a shoot, contact me now and I’ll make sure there’s time in the schedule when your little one is born. Let’s talk!
Other places I can be found…

I love you mandy!
REALLY nice work, Mandy! Love the site name, too.
Don’t think you want me to take any cats off your hands, though - afraid my dogs might mistake them for bunnies and squirrels.
Thanks for sending me the link to your site - great diversion on a chilly winter’s day.
Hey! I found/saw you via Laurie’s new blog! Looks like you have been busy and your portraits are awesome! The close up the children’s faces….priceless and dead on! Looks like you’re in a happy place!
