Apologies for my lack of availability lately. In addition to a week of full-day shoots across town, my computer died and had to be sent in so I’ve been without my right arm! If you’re waiting to hear from me, I’ll be getting in touch soon!
In the meantime, here’s an iPhone photo of my extra fat cat Spencer relaxing while I work.
Nathanael got a whole new fancy outfit for this shoot, right down to his shoes. How fun is that shirt?? We did this session right outside their cute Minneapolis house.
Jennifer Chaney: What an awesome session! It just made me happy. Will you come shoot for me? I would love shots like this of my kids. And I love that first picture b/c his face is totally in focus, but his body is in motion... pretty cool capture. And the shirt? I want one.
tara k: well, if he's not just the cutest little guy ever! love these shots, mandy. and the shirt is FAN.TAS.TIC. great job!
Rachel Clare: WHO says boy clothes aren't as cute as girl clothes?! I beg to differ.
And P.S. I want to eat him up.
I am approximately 8,000 blog posts behind but there just aren’t enough hours in the day. So, all quick-like, here are a few recent photos. Both of these cuties are models, is that any surprise?
It’s been quite awhile since my sister has been featured on my blog so she’s making another appearance, this time with a partner in crime. :)
Her long-time boyfriend (I don’t even know how long it’s been, just that a)I’ve already had to sit next to him at way too many dinners during which he’s touched MY SIDE and b) they picked my birthday as their anniversary which is GROSS) proposed to her at Wrigley field over the summer. I was disappointed to find that Wrigley does not have a giant jumbotron to facilitate utter humiliation should she say no but settled for the fact that it would be a very long car ride home from Chicago if they did. Okay, just kidding, I was excited for them.
Anyway! Here are some photos from their engagement session. Yes, I will be photographing the wedding, no I am not sad that I won’t get to stand up with her. I’ll take a camera over a bridesmaid’s dress any day, thankyouverymuch!
And since she’s family and special and stuff, here’s a slideshow of all the photos.
tara k: OMG, mandy! these are fantastic! #4, #5 and #8 must displayed as LARGE canvases or i will be personally offended. ;) seriously, girl...spectacular!
Sara: I feel so honored!!! I love that you added that you would take a camera over a bridesmaids dress anyday! Lots of comments on facebook and everywhere about how much people love them. And we do too!!!!
Laura: These are so pretty! I love, love, LOVE, the 4th one down :)
This session was actually a gift from Gage’s Aunt who contacted me a few months ago to ask if she could buy a gift certificate for her sister. What an awesome gift! (Okay, I may be a bit biased, but still.) Here they are together.
Gage was a sleepy little guy, already sleeping when I got to the session and stayed that way for most of it. That makes my job easy!
Now then, I love all these newborns I’ve been doing lately but it’s time for someone to have a girl, okay? :)
It’s been awhile! I was gone for a bit and the catching up has been a bit of a whirlwind (the unintentional pool in my basement hasn’t helped much, either). We’re into the back-to-school-almost-fall-get-those-holiday-photos-done crunch!
I was a little worried the morning of this session when the shiny little thermometer on my computer said 55. A bit brisk for the water shots that mom wanted. Luckily, it warmed up quite nicely and the water was even warmer. Good thing because there’s massive cuteness ahead. :)
