minisessions copy

It’s that time again! The dates for fall mini-sessions have been set. For those new to the game, mini-sessions are a day full of short 20 minute sessions at a park in St. Paul. They’re a great way to get your holiday card photos done or just fit in a quick session if you haven’t otherwise been able to or if a full session doesn’t quite fit into your budget this year.

In addition to the standard mini-session package, I’m offering an awesome Digital Deluxe package this year which includes your choice of 5 digital files from your gallery – you’re free to use these to make your own prints, Christmas cards, blog posts, email newsletters, etc.

I’m also offering an entirely new batch of custom-designed holiday cards this year for those of you who want something personalized and unique but don’t want to do it yourselves.

The mini-sessions tend to book quite quickly so if you’re interested, please contact me as soon as possible so we can make sure to get you in! Newsletter subscribers got first crack at this offer so some of the spots have already been filled.

*Session fee includes up to four family members. To include additional family members, you can book back-to-back sessions.

This little fella was way too intrigued by our session and life in general to want to sleep much while I was there. I got to see lots of his open blue eyes.

I got to see lots of these, too, but he did a pretty good job of fighting off a sound sleep. (Doesn’t this photo just make you want to yawn, too?)

But for the few minutes he did fall asleep, I was ready. :)

Newborn sessions are fun regardless of what they’re doing because they’re just also so CUTE (okay, dirty diapers notsomuch but the rest)!

Kellie: HOLY cuteness!

Scott Bolster: Beautiful!

tara k: mandy, he is absolutely scrumptious! especially adore the yawn and sweet lips close-up. wonderful shots!

Kathi C: Beautiful little babe! Love all the moments you've captured and I'm a sucker for super close-ups --- YUM!

Shuva Rahim: Beautiful macro-ness on these shots!

Ava Hill Photography: These are so precious!

Jacko: Great pic of you and the baby. I hope you realize he was trying to milk your nose (Seriously). My son Samuel was a big nose sucker if you didn't watch it.

Rachel Clare: Oh heavens. That 2nd image is unreal. How beautiful is this child?!

Two girls who love the camera – a few teeth + a few rounds of bocce ball + leftover sparklers + s’mores + a hammock + a lot of silliness.

Maybe I’ll just start doing sessions in my backyard, it’s pretty fun back there! I’ll even supply the s’more makin’s.

LBK: No one ecapes the lens of MK. You can turn any event into a photo exhibit - and a good one at that! What cute subjects!

Sarah: Love them! Sparklers are très spesh.

Vanessa Lam: These are so fun! Love the ones of them on their back, made me smile at my screen. I was s'mores!

tara k: what sweet girls and great shots!

Ava Hill Photography: I love the bright colors. Great work!

juliek: I love all those teeth

juliek: great colors

Just like most moms, this mom contacted me to take create some special keepsakes of her boys. Her boys, though, are small and furry. :) This whole session was a complete blast for me. We did the shoot in a gorgeous backyard and the kitties were my instant friends. I really didn’t want to leave. I’m thinking of turning full-time cat photographer. The constant leaving might break my kitty-loving heart, though.

rcm: Too much cute for one page!

Kellie: Wow. These are really cute, MK.

Lisa: That last one is priceless. He looks like he just got caught doing something naughty.

Jennifer Chaney: You officially get the best jobs... roller derby weddings and cats. (And that last one is awesome!)

Ava Hill Photography: These are all great but the first one and the last one are puuurfect!

(This entry could also be called “Why I Won’t Let You Schedule Your Session In Full Sun” but sometimes I’m at non-photo events (I know, who knew??) and I can’t just avoid the cuteness. And once the cuteness is captured, it must be shared!)

(Also, I would love to do a full pool session, wouldn’t you? CONTACT ME! Kids in pools are cute.)

Vanessa Lam: These are just perfect!!! I love the watermelon shots. And the hot dog one too. Makes me want to jump in a pool right now. XOXOX Vanessa

Kellie: I need to get one of those mini pools.

~SarahInParis~: Love these summer images. Colours are super fab!

Ashley: Love these! We just spent the hot afternoon playing in the sprinklers :) Great way to spend a hot day!
