Natural light doesn’t always cut it. If you’re interested in learning how to use off-camera flash and how to use it anywhere, Strobist is for you. The website is an insane wealth of information on starting out with small flashes and minimal equipment and working your way up. Begin with Lighting 101 and work your way through. Join the Flickr strobist group for active forums and a gallery full of lit images. If you’re in Minnesota, join the (note: depending on where you work, this often-scantily-clad gallery might be best browsed at home) MN Strobist Flickr group and attend one of their shoots.
